Tammara Bauer, Managing Attorney

Tammara Bauer has vast experience enabling her to assist her clients in navigating a variety of legal matters and is passionate in her representation of clients. She is careful to properly evaluate the unique aspects of each case to ensure the best representation for her clients.

Tammara is a native to Colorado and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Northern Colorado. She graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. Tammara worked at IBM as a project manager during her schooling. She began her legal career in criminal prosecution. She now focuses most of her private practice on Wills, Trusts, Estate, Probate, Protective Proceedings, and Business Law. She also serves as the associate judge for the Commerce City Municipal Court.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, golfing and camping. Tammara volunteers time in the local community through lectures, and scholarship and donation support to local schools.


Eric R. Kaplan, Associate Attorney

Eric Kaplan joined Altus Law Group as an associate attorney in July 2019. Eric brings with him almost two decades of extensive knowledge and experience with comprehensive estate planning, domestic-based asset protection as well as offshore asset protection. He focuses on tailoring estate plans to each clients specific needs and goals.

Eric has written extensively and been published in the areas of estate planning, asset protection and integrated estate planning. He was a contributing author to the third edition of Asset Protection Planning Guide published in 2014 by CCH Incorporated, after also having significantly contributed to the second edition in 2005. His other published works can be found in Estate Planning, Insights and Strategies; Journal of Practical Estate Planning; Journal of Financial Planning; and Journal of International Taxation.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in United States History in 1995 from the State University of New York at Albany, Eric earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1998 from Quinnipiac University School of Law and then moved to Colorado to practice. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association.

Eric was born in New York City and was raised on the south shore of Long Island in Merrick, New York. For the past 21 years he has been a happy Coloradan. He and his wife Sheryl are parents of two sons, David and Michael. They currently reside in Highlands Ranch and enjoy travel and all the beauty and activities that Colorado has to offer.
